RADA graduate Zoe Waites is a celebrated classical actor and experienced audition panel member.
Most recently Zoe played GONERIL in the acclaimed production of Shakespeare's "King Lear" opposite Jonathan Pryce at London's Almeida Theatre, and MAGGIE HOBSON in "Hobson's Choice" at the Sheffield Crucible Theatre, opposite Barrie Rutter. She is regarded as one of the finest of Britain's younger classical actors: at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) she played Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet", Viola in "Twelfth Night", and Desdemona in "Othello". She played Ophelia in "Hamlet" at the Lyric, Hammersmith, and Vittoria in "The White Devil" in a joint production by Greenwich Theatre and the West Yorkshire Playhouse. She is a graduate of, and has served as a member of Council for, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
Mention has to be made of Zoe Waites as Mrs Elvstead who for me, was truly remarkable. She was every bit of how I see the character, and not for a moment did she stray beyond my expectations. A fine example of acting that doesn’t become a farce nor melodramatic, but rather blooming marvellous. (Watch out for Zoe Waites, she is certainly one to keep an eye on)
